Up next for the Boggle challenge is the Yiren 566. The Yiren 566 is a Chinese fountain pen styled very closely after the Lamy Safari. It costs about a dollar. First I filled it up with ink via the converter inside:

When I screwed the Yiren back together it cracked! This would highlight a difference in plastics between the Lamy and its knock-offs, because I don’t think the Lamy would have cracked. The threadings on the Yiren are also quite wide and looked like they would strip easily. Broken pen in hand, I played Boggle.

The Yiren was hard to play Boggle with. In addition to it being broken, I had to write with large strokes to make the ink come out, and did have to retrace some lines. Did I enjoy writing with it – yes, kind of, mostly because its low cost. I suppose I’ll do a proper review of the Yiren Fountain pen in the future??
