Ugliest Nib Contest

I dug through my collection and found some nibs of note, but not in a good way. Here they are, pitted against each other in a contest for ugliest nib.

Up first is a vintage Kreko – the pen is pretty:

The nib is not:

Just a smidge out of alignment – it looks like somebody changed out the Kreko nib with an Esterbrook by beating it against a table.

Next is the Jinhao 911 that I dropped 50 times (for science, of course):

Ouch.

Next is this vintage Wearever:

Beautiful gold cap, but here is the nib:

There’s not a thing wrong with this one, other than its design – which isn’t pretty..

Last up is the Traveler’s pen:

The point droops in a way that reminds me of Charlie Brown with his head down.

Now to the written portion of our contest:

There they are – winner of the worst writing goes to the Kreko. Overall ugliest nib winner is the Wearever.
