The Pilot Gimno Ballpoint Pen – a sleeker Dr. Grip

The Dr. Grip – a chunky ballpoint pen with a comfortable ergonomic grip:

Now to the other pen, I found in a lot the other day:

The Pilot Gimno ballpoint pen – more well know as a discontinued mechanical pencil, but here it is in ballpoint pen form – and it takes Dr. Grip refills. What does Gimno mean? No idea – it doesn’t translate. The Gimno is a fairly chunky pen with a quality ridged grip – may not be quite as comfy as the Dr. Grip, but it’s sleeker, and it’s got that nifty yen price sticker.
